What am I?

I am a big cat of many names like puma, mountain lion, mountain cat, catamount or panther, depending on the region.

Where is my native habitat? 

My native habitat is located in the Florida swamps and up to the Canadian forests.

Interesting facts about me? 

I'm shy, and I purr like a housecat.
I can jump upward 18 feet from a sitting position and leap up to 40 feet horizontally.
I cannot roar like a lion, but I can make sounds like a human scream.
I hold the Guinness record for the animal with the highest number of names. I have over 40 names in English alone!
